At Bambinos Day Nursery in Woolwell, we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where children from birth to five years feel happy, safe, and secure.
Our skilled practitioners focus on developing each child’s personal, social, and emotional skills, helping them to regulate emotions, understand behaviour, and build positive relationships.
These skills form the foundation for further development, supported by engaging, play-based activities. We observe each child’s progress closely, creating personalised plans that allow them to develop at their own pace.
Our outdoor spaces cater to all ages, with a dedicated area for under-twos featuring a mud kitchen, teepee, and seesaw, alongside a larger shared space with a climbing frame, slide, and bike track.
As an inclusive setting, our Makaton-trained staff support children with additional needs. Extra-curricular activities include Spanish and Baby Sing and Sign.
Rooms
The Nest (Birth to 2 years) →
The Nest (Birth to 2 years)
The Nest is a calm and nurturing space where your child will feel safe and cared for.
Their key person will support them at all times, focusing on developmental milestones like raising their head, rolling over, and sitting unaided.
Your child will also learn early social communication skills through songs, games, and nursery rhymes, and will benefit from calming baby massage and spa sessions.
We aim for your child to be able to use the pincer grip (picking up objects using their thumb and forefinger) by the time they leave The Nest, so we provide lots of activities that enhance their manual dexterity, as well as their overall physical development.
The Studio (3-5 years) →
The Studio (3-5 years)
In The Studio we encourage both collaborative and independent learning to support your child’s development in all areas.
For example, we use our reading area for group sessions, focusing on letters and sounds in preparation for phonics lessons at school, as well as for storytelling and song time.
Our curiosity cube area, which is filled with objects for investigation, supports both types of learning, with our practitioners either working with your child independently or as part of a group.
Within The Studio, there is an extension room called The Retreat, which is a creative space where your child can engage in a variety of mark-making and clay-making activities, providing inspiration for artistic exploration and development.
The Atelier (2-3 years) →
The Atelier (2-3 years)
The Atelier is designed to awaken your child’s curiosity with a range of stimulating resources and activities to promote exploration and learning.
This includes a fabulous home corner to develop their imagination and encourage socialisation and communication, and a cosy corner, equipped with song bags, story sacks, and a variety of books, to enhance their communication skills and foster an early love for literature.
If your child enjoys building, our large construction area, with various transport vehicles and visual reference pictures, will enrich their play and learning.
Activities are tailored to your child’s interests to ensure they are stimulating and engaging.
